Leah Strader

Leah is a Texas native who has been around animals all her life and grew up watching Jeff Corwin and Steve Irwin, who both fueled her passion for all animals. Her education took a turn in college, graduating in 2019 with a degree in Photography but ultimately knew her wild heart belonged to animals and after graduating into a pandemic started to work at a local animal shelter and found her way into the veterinary field.

In 2022 she became a proud graduate of the Vet Tech Institute of Houston and the she went on and passed the VTNE in 2022 as well. Shortly after she then got her veterinary technician license in 2023. With over three years of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, Leah brings a strong passion for animal care and a positive, confident presence to our team, she recently relocated to beautiful Colorado Springs in 2025 and is excited to become part of this pet-loving community.

Throughout her career, Leah has worked closely with all sorts of pets and their owners to provide compassionate, high-quality care in fast-paced hospital settings. From assisting in surgeries and monitoring anesthesia to patient recovery and client education, Leah is committed to making every pet’s visit as stress-free and positive as possible and is happy to have found such an amazing hospital to do so!

When not in the hospital, Leah enjoys reading, playing videogames and exploring the Colorado outdoors by camping or hiking. She cannot wait to meet your pet and make sure they get the care they deserve!
